Self-Assesment
Who am I? Everyday people from all around the world ask themselves who they really are. Many people still don’t know who they are and may never know. Self-Assessment is a process in which you examine yourself in attempt to discover and learn more about yourself. Many pieces to your question can be found like what are your likes, dislikes, behavior attitude, and habits when you complete this process. By discovering these you can always use this as an advantage by changing your weakness and by accepting your strengths. Self Assessment is an important process in having a successful future.
Doing this self-assessment on my own communication skills I did not find out that many new things that I already didn’t know myself. I know that I have a little difficult time expressing what I want to say in a room full of new people or new coworkers. I know I tend to not talk about what is on my mind because I am afraid of hurting other people’s feelings I also know that I have the type of attitude that when I become more comfortable in a new place or with new people I will become friendlier, open up, and easier to communicate with.
The following skills are necessary for a successful career. Teamwork, understanding the type of business, interpersonal communication and leadership. Things I plan to work on are prioritizing, and efficiency. I tend to panic when I have multiple jobs to do; so I need to prioritize and work on one thing at a time. Professional development starts with school and career as described above. Some additional items that are important for professional development are a good resume, contact with experts in the field, continuing education ( very important in today’s workforce), certifications, enjoying what you do, and a balance of work, family, and other interest.

Résumé
A résumé is a document used by individuals to present their background and skillsets. Résumés can be used for a variety of reasons but most often to secure new employment. A typical résumé contains a summary of relevant job experience and education. The résumé is usually one of the first items, along with a cover letter and sometimes job application packet, that a potential employer encounters regarding the job seeker and is typically used to screen applicants, often followed by an interview, when seeking employment.
