“Portable Skills” are those skills that you can keep or still use when you move from one job or situation to another. This mean that when you move from one job to another you do not have to be retrain if you carry with you the skills, technical skills, that are required. Some portable skills are: computer, Internet Web design, customer service, communication, writing skills, very organized, good at coordinating, team leader, problem solving, and many more.

Some portable skills I have used are: customer service, team leader, computer, managemnet, and problem solving. This happened when I went from working at a fast food restaurant to another restaurant. These portable skills as well as communication, patrolmen, and guadian are some of the skills I add in my resume.

Introducing Myself

Hello All.   My name is Blenda Belliard, but I more commonly go by Bibi.  I am a current senior majoring in Networking Administration/Security.  I am very interested in Law Enforcement, solving problems, and technology.  I am a very organized and detail-oriented person.  I am currently work for the City of New York as School Safety Agent and will ease me of  becoming a Police Officer after graduating from LaGuardia Community College.

To be honest, I signed up for this class because it is a requirement for my major but hopefully it will be useful in my career.  After attending the first class, I must say this could be one of my favorite classes I have taken at LaGuardia.  These reasons include, but are not limited to, the professor keeps his students interacting with each other.

I am  majoring in technology because after becoming a Police Officer I have other interests and other goals in life like being a FBI agent. While I enjoy finding answers to unknown questions, working in,  and watching Law & Order; I noticed the essentials of Law Enforcement  is for me.
